Register yourself with the website with a user name of your choice and password through the New User Registration. Login into the Careers Page with this user Name and Password. Upload Your resume detail in the Resume UP Load Section. Verify the Correctness of information before submitting your resume. Using Edit option you can make changes if any to the resume and update it. Select the position for which you are going to apply for from list of openings. Feed Your Date of birth and select your Qualification. Read the related Terms and Conditions. After Check Marking the Read Check Box Click the Apply button to complete the process.
A confirmation mail will be sent to you along with the application ID. Mention this Application ID for all future correspondence.

For MMG-S-II to SMG-S-IV:Only the short-listed candidates would be called for interview taking into consideration the various attributes like educational qualifications, experience under relevant area, the length of experience and the relevancy of the experience to the post notified by the Bank and at the discretion of the Bank. The Bank reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for the interview after preliminary screening/short-listing with reference to candidates’ aforesaid attributes, etc.
Final selection will be on the basis of the merit ranking in the interview.

For Probationary Assistant Managers –JMG-S- I:
The written test will consist of an objective test as well as Descriptive test.
a) Objective Test:

The objective test except for the Test of English Language will be printed in Hindi and English. Wrong answers will result in negative marks. Candidatesshould secure a minimum of 30% (25% for SC/ST Candidates) in each of the above papers, subject to a total average of 40% (35% for SC/ST Candidates) as qualifying marks.

b) Descriptive Test:
Assessment of Wealth of ideas, higher order cognitive abilities, organization of ideas in a logical coherent manner to assess knowledge on socioeconomic developments, written communication skill, etc. in a concise manner.
Details of the Test
5 compulsory questions with internal options for 100 marks. Duration: 1 hour. Option to answer either in Hindi or English.
Qualifying Marks
Minimum 40% (35% for SC/ST candidates),but marks so obtained are not reckoned for merit ranking.
c) Interview:
i) Only those candidates who have secured the minimum qualifying marks stipulated for written test (i.e., Objective as well as Descriptive) shall be called for interview depending upon the ranking as per the marks obtained by them in the objective test.
ii) Only those candidates who rank sufficiently high in the written test will be called for interview. Mere eligibility/pass in the test shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for interview.
iii) Interview shall be conducted to assess the personality traits having bearing on general demeanor, interpersonal competence, adaptability, courtesy, self confidence & temperament and communication skills.
iv) Maximum marks for interview shall be 75 with minimum qualifying marks of 40% (35% for SC/ST candidates). The Bank reserves the right if it so desires to hold a second stage of written test on the basis of order of merit in the written test of first stage as referred above. If the second stage of written test is held the subsequent process of interview and further process would be on the basis of order of merit of the second stage test.
d) Final selection will be on the basis of the merit ranking arrived as under:

STEPS FOR ON-LINE REGISTRATION AND APPLYING:

1) Ensure that the applicant fulfills all the eligibility criteria.
2) Apply online through Bank’s website www.southindianbank.com after going through the instructions. The applicants are requested to ensure that the information filled in each page of the Online-Application Form is correct before submitting and moving on to the next page. Candidates making multiple registrations will be disqualified.
3) Please note the system generated User Id (Application Ref. Id) and enter your password to login and print the application form and the challan form generated. PLEASE NOTE THE USER ID (APPLICATION REF. ID) AND PASSWORD CAREFULLY FOR REPRINTING THE APPLICATION. Keep a copy of the application form for future reference. An e-mail containing the details of registration will be send to the e-mail Id given by the candidate.
4) Use the challan form and remit the application fees in any of the branches of the The South Indian Bank Ltd. Please keep the candidate copy of the challan form for future reference. Please note that hall tickets for the written examination will be generated for only those candidates who remit the application fees.
5) On the application print out, paste a photo-graph, duly sign it and send it to the address given below along with relevant documents to prove age and qualifications.
6) Please submit the application in an envelope super scribed as “Application for the post of pro.clerks -Kerala and Tamilnadu – Application ref ID – ……(please fill in)……..” and send to “Asst.General Manager (Personnel), The South Indian Bank Ltd., Head Office, SIB House, Mission Quarters,Thrissur-680 001,Kerala” along with self attested copies of mark lists and certificates to prove qualification and age.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The selection will be made on the basis of performance in written test and interview. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for written test & interview. The details of the written test shall be communicated to the candidates in advance. The Written Test will be Objective and Descriptive type.

WRITTEN TEST:
a) OBJECTIVE TESTS b) DESCRIPTIVE TEST

Note : The questions in objective tests except for the Test of English will be printed in bilingual, i.e. English and Hindi. The candidates shall be required to qualify in each objective test as per cut-off marks determined on the basis of Group Performance in each test. There will be negative marks for the wrong answers in the Objective Tests.

(i) The Questions in Descriptive Paper will be printed in. English only. The minimum pass marks for descriptive test would be 50 % for general category candidates and 45 % for SC/ST/PWD candidates
(ii) The merit ranking for selection will be assessed on the basis of total marks secured in all the above tests including the Descriptive Test. Depending upon number of vacancies, only a certain number of candidates from the candidates merit listed in the Written Test will be called for Interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the written test & Interview and will be strictly on merit basis.
